I grew up in the municipality of San Leonardo in the province Nueva Ecija.Today, August 24,2015 in our barangay we celebrate "Fiestang Kalamay." One of the notable delicacies of this place called "Kalamay" (sticky rice cake) is the main attraction of this festivity.




San Bartolome or St. Bartholomew is the patron saint of San Leonardo. Thanksgiving for the abundance of harvest using rice as main ingredients of kalamay is the town’s major cultural activity during the celebration of Kalamay festival. Kalamay is the native delicacy and is one of the major products of San Leonardo.
